A weekend of great music

Bravi students of the tribute to Michael Jackson, talented singers and musicians dell'Anfora, many people in the audience. When music becomes important occasion of aggregation as well as personal growth ...

Should I start by Manuel. I can not help it, not least because few people know the whole story ...

20.30 am on Friday night (April 30) and have just arrived in the theater tent for the Michael Jackson Tribute . I'm setting up the banquet of the association, through leaflets, comics, gadgets. At one point a man approached me accompanied by a child of seven, eight years . The man explains to me that the child - his niece - is a big fan of Michael Jackson, who knows all his songs, who was a guest in theater and on television as a dancer impersonator of the late "King of Pop," and asks me if we can him dance a song.

I really open my eyes, this thing took me by surprise: I can not begin to stutter, which is already organized a concert, that on some tracks there are already school girls dancing Dance Studio ... Then I look at the child, and has the same expression as when my son, still on the door, just back from work, I asked, "Papi I can cardboard on a guadae computei?" And think "Who cares about the hotel! We're not television, us. We are here for fun and to entertain ...".

I ask him about what song would like to dance. Billie Jean. I feel now Stephen, who is the only which always has the situation under control. The piece is in the middle of the lineup and there is the ballet girls. Awarded.

The rest, who was, is history.

A great program out, that of Manuel, who went on to complete - the icing on the cake - a show already considerable with our students (the real stars of the evening) in splendid form and harmony, and with a ' impressive number of visitors (I have not counted, but 500 have been at the height of the evening).

success in all the senses, in short, due to several factors: the author's choice to devote the tribute which includes the commitment, the skill, the courage of our students, the dedication of their teachers (primarily Valerio and Stefano); the stubbornness of Management Association, the presence of girls of the School of Dance Studio POL years with their choreography for the first time performed on songs played, the consistency and timeliness of the proposal, which falls six years on the same days, same time and at the same place, the effectiveness of communication (flyers, posters, email, sms, website, Facebook ...); collaboration with the Pro Loco, which annually hosts us and we will "pave the way", the economic contribution the town of Quarto d'Altino.

Finally, "people" (children, teenagers, adults, elderly) who simply appreciate what we offer and how we do it. That "people" at the end of the concert has gone back home wearing a pin that says "I love DN" ( I love Diapason & Naima ) not so much - or more - because it is part (as a student or as a partner), but for identification .

DN Love means loving the music as a moment of personal growth and social bonding as .

Plato said that music is the best medicine for the soul and - I added in my speech from the stage, which I hope has not been too long and boring ... - healthy souls who can not feed a healthy society .

Friday night I think the message has come loud and clear to those present. Unfortunately it has not happened in recent years with all but you know: there are none so deaf as those who do not want to hear .

The end of the eleventh edition of the National Singing Competition The amphora, which was held the next day (Saturday, 1 May) went very well.

The evening was particularly compelling due to the quality executions singing (perhaps the highest ever of the many editions of the competition) and the professionalism of the band who accompanied the singers (Gianpaolo Todaro on guitar, keyboards Favotto Valentino, Valerio Vaiarelli on bass, Mark on drums Campigotto, Chiara Maccatrozzo choirs).

Entertaining as always my friend Mario Ferrarese , presenter of the evening, joined this year by two local valleys of pure young: Giorgio and Margherita Vianello Foltran.

Special guest opera singer Tosca draft, which in addition to having served on the jury (chaired this year by Maestro Pierre Conte) has entertain the many visitors before the announcement of the winners with three famous arias, accompanied on piano by Valentino Favotto.

the end, the first prize (the amphora-Murano glass trophy and € 500) if it is awarded ANNA DANIELI , 17, of Spreyton (TV), with the song Never us Dolcenera. In second place LAURA Perdomo, 19, Quarto d'Altino, with Right to Be Wrong Joss Stone . In third place PATRICIA MARCHESAN , 15, Caorle (VE), with the circle of life of Ivana Spagna.
