OpportuniTAV

Here's how the TAV could officially impact at Quarto d'Altino: two concrete viaducts 2 km from the one ...

Oh well ', in short:
the train is always the train, eh!
(Renato Pozzetto)

"On the morning of December 22, 2010 Italian Rail Network has delivered to the regional offices of the Directorate Infrastructure cards of the preliminary draft of the High-speed train from Venice to Trieste." So begins the post published on the pages of the site in the northeast Railways, the permanent observatory (and independent nothing to do with Trenitalia, RFI, trade unions ...) on the mobility of the macro-region railway in which we live.

This means that we can finally know what will be - to be here in twenty years - the likely fate of our country , since - despite the assurances of local politics - the infamous "track down" developed by RFI on clear direction of the Veneto Region (Proceedings of the Regional No 1816 of 13 June 2006 and No 1083 of April 17, 2007 ) cross in the middle of our common between the capital and Trepalade - crosses zero, the Sile and the Via Claudia Augusta - and I will touch again on the border with Musile - crossing the Fossetta Triestina and then travels parallel to the "Jesolo" - as you can see from the map below.

But not all. In both cases the degree of landscape impact will be the maximum that can occur in open country, because, having to cross from one side two rivers (Sile and Zero) and an archaeological site (the Claudia Augusta), on the other channel (the Fossetta) and road (Triestina), the plan is that these two points, the line runs over two viaducts to between 2.6 and 2 km .

The reason I will explain the words of Michele Pinardi, specializes in surveying and cartographic processing:

The new lines will not have the same gradients present on existing railway tracks. To overcome a river or a highway not just more of a simple bridge that connects the two sides, the slope would be too dangerous for the new trains. With the rise in the share of TAV is in a binary gradualissima otherwise at certain speeds there is a risk of derailment of wagons.

Here are some photos taken along the viaduct over the river Panaro in European high-speed Bologna-Verona "to understand this and try to make visible the full extent of this work" - concludes Pinardi.

Here are the most eloquent. The other can be found on its website . Hard to think provided that the bridges along the Venice-Trieste will be different from these ...

But during the council 8 November 2010, in response to the oral question tabled by Councillor Simionato ( Request TAV information on the track in the territory of Quarto d'Altino ) marcasite the mayor said:

I spoke today with the Deputy Mayor Councillor Chisso it is the only interested in this because beyond that has been published there is nothing in the papers. [...] Chisso told me that within about ten days brings us together. Quarto d'Altino tells me I do not know if you summon because you're not interested, seems to go beyond , I said, though the path through the Quarto d'Altino you. In those same days the commissioner Chisso was responding to a reporter who asked him what he thought of ' Proposed route released by railways in the Northeast ( rebuilt on official statements of the Deputy Minister Castelli) more or less in these words: "is nothing but a sign on a piece of paper" . Compare for yourself the possibility of railways in the Northeast with the preliminary draft RFI: are identical.

will not go into the merits of possible alternative routes or on ' usefulness and economic viability of a hypothetical future high-speed line. They've already done with an objective eye and a wealth of detail, the editors of the said railway in the northeast, which Insights section of their site have written a truly enlightening (which I recommend you read) not only in the motorways, an alternative to the "low" , but also about the absolute alternative to TAV , making further clarity on two key issues: the meaning of two concepts of high speed and high capacity , and the possibility / convenience of the run freight trains on a line for high-speed .

one on which I wish to focus attention is the question total confusion that has arisen since popped up on the track casus belli "low", about mid-October. A chaos that politics - and above all Regional Councillor transport - in no way tried to contain and that, indeed, has helped fuel continuing to plead ignorance of the RFI was planning. Just take a look at the quantity of articles published in local newspapers last month and a half and those who are coming out these days, and contradictions that will be read.

It seems now that everything revolves around the so-called "stop the beaches" , notably absent of the preliminary draft. Now, aside from the addresses of the Region in 2006 and 2007 not included (or at least not explicitly), possible that in the meantime no one has given a blind eye to the design of RFI , given the media chaos that was developing? Or maybe that would stop further compromise the quality of the project in the eyes of the European Commission? (And if the project does not pass the Schei ... no shore.)

Why do we have to say that already as it appears now, the route could turn up their nose to the committee, because of many curves, known high-speed enemy. They knew the Romans when they built the Claudia Augusta, designers knew the Austro-Hungarian empire in the mid nineteenth century have designed the rail from Trieste to Venice, and so did those who, after World War II, he designed and built the motorway Venice-Trieste .

Some will say: Yes, they did not have to struggle with cramped the so-called "city read" that we find ourselves now, nor with the recent establishment environmentalist of "land conservation" . But Italy (and especially the Po Valley) is not Spain, France, Germany, where between one city and one can also run dozens of miles of nothing, and what little land is left intact will well in the coming decades we keep him close ...

Not to leave again this time with a bitter taste, and following on the title of the post ("OpportuniTAV", the high-speed line as one of the development opportunities that our area - which one? the Northeast, the Veneto and Quarto d'Altino? - should not be missing, at least according to the assertions of those who govern us, or as he said during a recent public meeting the former mayor of Fourth Francis Borgia), especially early epigraphy, I invite you to see this scene from a cult films of the 80s, I was reminded while reading a comment of his friend Luke to the claims of those who say that the track "Low" with the elusive 'stop the beaches "is enhanced and Caorle Eraclea: "What, are also a station there? or tourists will be in droves to see the train pass? .
