me say at once this post is a "partisan," not because it has to do with the Resistance: just take this opportunity to promote a couple of events organized by Diapason & Naima ('Dienne' for friends ...), the 'cultural association which has for years "represent" and for which - along with many others - feel a unconditional love - to paraphrase the slogan of the recent campaign "I LOVE Dienne.
association you start to his tenth birthday (March 1, 2011) with a burden of no small importance given that this summer we will have to abandon the old town hall behind the town hall (which will give way to place 11 parking spaces ...) to move to a private building that, despite many promises, we searched and found on their own and - as far as I know - we will pay for themselves. But today I do not want to debate: today I want to talk about music ...
As we approach the month of May, in fact, arrive on time appointments with tribute concert for students of music courses and the The Amphora national singing contest. The
tribute a. .. " born in the "far" 2005 as an excuse to put on stage the increasing number of students of music classes, replacing the "night & Roll" , which is the event dedicated to emerging groups that gravitated around the rehearsal room run by the association.
The transition was quite natural. The increasing number of students had begun to create problems of "space" and "time" during the test year-end school in early June. Initially we thought of bringing together the students of guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and singing in ensembles to exhibit at the end of the test, with a modern repertoire (pop-rock, jazz, etc...) A buffer solution, it could not last for too long ...
So, after the 2004 edition of "Night & roll" we made the decision to devote an entire evening students of music courses , lightening once and for all the test and giving the opportunity for 25 young musicians to perform (many for the first time ...) on a real stage.
The choice of the tax, as I said, was a pretext, but it was not random. Focusing on only one side facilitated by a singer learning to many students new to the experience of the music group, on the other made the proposal more appealing to the public particularly attracted to the "tribute band".
The success was immediate, thanks to collaboration with the Pro Loco (which for the past 10 years Exhibitions in hosting the event in the Piazza) and Studio School of Dance POL Annia. A success in later years has not only been confirmed but went gradually growing. Just read the reports "Hot" made by myself in the pages of the site of . The credit is "widespread", both among students over the years have been in game genres that are often not even aware that among the teachers who have "educated", that among the board members and several supporters. But a special thanks for their efforts in all these issues is a tribute to those who organized and administered the tests, building a "de facto" final show: Valerio and Stefano Brentel Vaiarelli .
And this year? After Battisti (2005), Sugar (2006), Jovanotti (2007), The Beatles (2008), the disc-music (2009) - and after a super tribute to De André on the excavation of Altino, in June last year, however, by a group of "external" to the courses, the Ecocostante - the choice could not fall unless the "King of Pop" , among other things disappeared in less than two months after the levy of 2009: Michael Jackson .
The big event is scheduled for Friday, April 30, at 21, at "Teatro tent mounted behind the patronage of the Fourth. For the occasion, let us return to honor their presence and their choreography - after a break of three years - the girls of the School Dance Studio, led by Laura Fruncillo.
And since "he who hesitates is lost", the next night - Saturday, May 1 - the music continues with the final of the National Singing Competition amphora, now in its eleventh edition.
Born in 2000 in Quarto d'Altino, at the initiative of the Pro Loco, to encourage young performers and songwriters emerging , in 2006 the competition goes under our art direction now undergoing a profound change both in terms of communication, both for the organization of selections for the awards, but especially for the introduction of an element that rarely encountered in competitions for interpreters newcomers: the ' live accompaniment.
During the final, in fact, instead of singing over the backing singers to have a chance to perform together with a group of musicians composed of some teachers of our music courses: Vaiarelli Valerio on bass, guitar Gian Paolo Todaro Valentino Favotto Campigotto Mark on keyboards and drums .
This year, finally, apart from the a dedicated website ( www.concorsolanfora.it ) where is also available the archive of past editions, was introduced another novelty: the winner will win a cash prize of 500 € !
A note, in conclusion, the management "economy" of these events - and especially the tribute a. .. " since the cost of the singing contest is entitled to the Pro Loco.
The concert is organized by students of the courses again thanks to a contribution of the Municipality about 1000 €. This money is paid service audio-lights, advertising (flyers, posters), their distribution house-to-home (so that all are informed ). In practice, we ask those who administer - among other things - the community to give us the money under management (if appropriate) so that we can organize a small portion in the form of voluntary - so free - an event for the community , which is accessible to all (ie free) and appreciated by most people, without falling into the "generalist" of commercial TV, but without even firing too high (as, unfortunately, we've done at the beginning, with reviews of jazz ...), and always focusing on creating opportunities for interaction and socialization .
I think it's important to stress this because many people have no clue how the machine of government grants to associations, but also to remind those who minister to us, we have managed and we administer that grant aid does not mean "make a please "but an association " do the right thing " (if the proposal is worthy) for the community, putting us money.
Only recently was asked to submit to the City associations of its annual budget , under penalty of exclusion from contributions. While the initiative is commendable (too bad it gets just now that there are problems municipal budget, and then by playing the "race "...) with guards on the other has not been explained system by which financial statements will be interpreted the purpose of granting assistance. An assessment is made of numbers (money coming in, money going out), while the "life" of an association is made of activities, events, presence in the territory : elements that administrators and public servants do not always know their completeness. Unless, simply, the "conditio sine qua non" to obtain the contribution is to present the budget (in other words, a purely bureaucratic act without any sense).
Life "cheap" for a non-profit (As are most of those active in the area) is not easy. All the more reason I think it is an act of honesty and transparency in relation to citizenship the creation of a "register" contributions granted to the association, easily accessible, with a description of the business done with that money and detailing the expenses incurred to achieve them. This is not science fiction so if we think that, before granting the subsidy, the administration has been in receipt of a statement of the expenses , complete with supporting documents.
That said, I expect you all Friday 30 April and Saturday 1 May at the Theatre tent to hear a little 'good - and healthy - music!
